Mbweni Art Gallery + House

A simple geometry houses a gallery of African art on the ground floor and the collector’s home on the first floor. A fractured roof design facilitates the entry of light and ventilation. Exposed concrete provides a backdrop for an open exhibition area. An additional partially buried extension ensures control over climate and lighting.
